Inspiration & Education

Born into a musical family,

her father - a musician himself -

exposed her to jazz, pop, and

CCM genres. Family car rides and

"living room concerts" consisted of Frank Sinatra, The Carpenters,

Carole King, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Queta studied Vocal Music at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) and went on to receive a B.A. in Music Education: Voice from Mississippi College.

faith & music

My faith and musical journey are closely intertwined.

I remember two prayers:

At twelve, while praying I felt an incredible weight on my spirit, I knew I would sing, regardless of what that looked like, "just sing". God revealed his promise for me in that moment and that promise drives my passion for music.

At fifteen, I remember walking up the steps of NOCCA to my vocal music audition, praying "Lord be with me." I knew God would be with me through my education and equip me for my path.
